On September 20th, 2008, we presented our idea for Ahimsa, a vegan ecovillage, with members of Club Veg Southern Tier and the Ithaca Area Vegan Meetup. The discussion took place at Smart Monkey Cafe where the group convened for a delicious vegan meal. Thanks to Ben Bristoll for video taping the event and to Bill Huston for taking photos!

I love this photo of us. Doesn't Ari look like a visionary?

I hope to spark the development on a permaculture ecovillage in the UK. So all stories of such ventures being undertaken fascinate me currently.

i really like the way you guys relate to veganism. i think you set a good example of how people should face it and incorporate it to their lives. congrats!
ps: it's bizarre to see you guys talking on the video after seeing your photos on flickr, ahaha.

Thanks Matt, for commenting, it's great to hear about your project. I just subscribed to your RSS feed.
Tunnie, thank you for commenting too! It's so good to see you on here! I know, it's funny to be on video, too. I'm usually too embarrassed to watch it, myself, even to test it out - I go in the other room while Shira's working on it. :)
